Coffee with principal Claudia Chavez is a regular occurrence at Crockett┬áElementary School. It’s a time for parents to actively engage with the administration as both parties work together to provide the best education to the students at Crockett. The meeting on Tuesday, February 3rd was business as usual with one notable exception: the involvement of iEducateUSA.
Taking our cues from Principal Chavez on the importance of engaging with the Parent Teacher Organization, iEDU has begun working with the PTO Treasurer Consuelo Cabrera. Mrs. Cabrera is a former teacher, current parent, and active supporter of iEDUÔÇÖs mission to improve STEM education in our nation’s schools. Over coffee, Mrs. Cabrera spoke with parents about iEDU’s upcoming Career Day (scheduled for┬áApril 2nd), and our third annual summer workshop (to commence in June). Both programs were met with enthusiasm by all present as they discussed ways to encourage involvement from Crockett students and parents alike.
We’re so excited for everything iEducateUSA has coming up at Crockett, as well as all of the schools that we are involved with this year! Spring ’15 is going to be great!
