On October 4th, 2022, we at iEducate were honored to host an event at Minute Maid Park to kick off the 2022-2023 school year! We were joined by our supportive donors and friends as well as our hard working tutors.
Three tutors gave speeches about their time as iEducate tutors and how the skills and experiences they have learned through their time working with students has shaped their career goals, aspirations, and pathway.
Leonardo Cuellar, Jazzie Johnson, and Cristabel Torres shared stories and accomplishments from their time working with children in their home district, giving back to the institutions that made them the driven students and high achievers they are today.
We were also honored to be joined by the Executive Director of Region 4 Educational Services, Dr. Rodney Watson. Dr. Watson shared his appreciation for iEducate’s services and how the inclusion of tutors within Houston elementary schools has significantly increased student productivity and classroom engagement.
A big thank you goes out to our team members who all came together to make this happen! This would not have happened without the dedication and teamwork of all of us. To the Astros Foundation for being a great support to our organization and allowing us to host this amazing event. And to all of our guests, donors, supporters, and friends who came out to celebrate the 2022-2023 school year with us. And a very special thank you to all of our tutors and Dr. Watson for sharing their inspiring stories with us.
We also did get to catch a great win for the Astros later on that night! Here’s to a fantastic, safe, and successful 2022-2023 school year!
